Peggie Nielson, BSN, RN, CNLCP and CEO of Nielson Consulting, is a Certified Nurse Life Care Planner.  Peggie’s nursing background includes Cardiology, Emergency Nursing, Telemetry, Intensive Care, and Electrophysiology with a concentration in implantable devices.  Peggie holds certifications in Life Care Planning and with the Heart Rhythm Society for Special Competency in Cardiac Pacing and Cardio version Defibrillation for the Allied Professional.    This experience has given Peggie the knowledge and expertise to assist in the development of an accurate plan of care for individuals suffering from illness or injury.

Nurse Life Care Plans are a dynamic tool that assesses the current and future medical needs of a person who has suffered a catastrophic injury or illness.  The life care plan is based on the six standards of nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation including coordination of care, and evaluation.

• Conduct a comprehensive in-home interview and assessment with the individual and family members
• Meet with the individuals multi-disciplinary team to coordinate medical care
• Analyze and project current and future medical and non medical cost based on subjective and objective data

• Present the data in a concise and organized manner
